“We are a small community newspaper with limited human resources as well as financial resources. We don’t have the personnel to spend a lot of time learning complicated software, nor do have a large budget with which to try different programs or purchase expensive software designed more for large publications. With your purchase/lease option, AccountScout has been a perfect fit.
Prior to leasing your software, we used an in-house created weekly ad log that was pretty basic and didn’t allow us any of the advantages of AccountScout, such as prescheduling. Unfortunately, this led to some missed ads (missed income) and other such errors. We then had to retype all ad log data into our billing program. This doubled the man-hours we were spending on scheduling and billing, and also left a lot of room for additional errors.
AccountScout has taken care of all these issues, plus gives us many more options we didn’t know were available but we now use all the time. Display and classified advertising, ad contracts, co-op advertising, managing sales reps and commissions are now is one easily managed program. Our man-hours have been cut in half and our error rate has dropped drastically.
The last thing I want to comment on is your tech support. It is great! From the beginning, when we were learning the system, to now -- three years later -- all I have to do is ask and you’re right there with the answer. I’ve never been uncomfortable asking a question -- maybe for the fourth of fifth time -- because your support staff has never made me feel inadequate in any way. They are patient, thorough and understanding. I’ve yet to have contact with any other company that can compare. Unfortunately for other tech services, I now hold them up to your standards, and they have consistently fallen short.
We now also use your ChargeScout as well and are equally happy with it. We look forward to future products from your company, and to a long and happy relationship.
